First EuroCamp Experience!

After my short time in Marseille, I took a train to Montpellier to meet up with Keena, Grigo, and the girls for our next adventure. We drove about an hour and a half away to Argeles-sur-Mer on the French coast to stay at a Eurocamp.

We decided to go for high-end camping and rented a trailer for a few days. Here is a photo of our little home. It had a nice deck and BBQ. And for fun, Keena rented a tent for the girls to play in.

The trailer had one room with a queen bed and two twin rooms. Here is a photo looking into the twin rooms which were side by side (yes...we are a little messy)!

We had a nice size living room and dining room table as well.

And a good size kitchen. It was great for the three days we were there.

We arrived before the tourist season, so the camp was rather empty which was extremely nice. Besides renting a trailer, people could also rent tents or hook up their RVs. The camp was also nicely landscaped.

Here is the path leading to the playground and pool area.

The Eurocamp had a number of different companies within it. Here is a photo of some of the other trailers in the camp that had a porch at the end of the trailer. They really packed them in!

On our first day, we arrived in the early evening so we headed out to the beach to see what it was like. Here is Keena and Lia on their way to the beach (photo by Grigo).

Here I am with Rica leading the way (photo by Grigo).

The beach was rather rough on our feet. It had more pebbles then sand, but a really nice view at sunset.

Of course the girls did not take long before they were completely undressed and playing in the water. Here they are taking their first steps. It was rather cold!

And once they were in.......the dancing started!

I do believe Elvis is in the house (photo by Grigo)!

They ran and jumped around (photo by Grigo).

After playing in the water for a while, we headed back to the camp for the evening. For our first night, we dined at the local restaurant. Here I am getting told about all the summer adventures from the girls (photo by Grigo).

The next day we hit the beach again. On our way there, we spotted a turtle (photo by Grigo).

He tried to hide from us. We see you!

The beach was really empty and there was a tractor smoothing out the sand.

The girls got in their gear and headed out.  Too cute!

I thought this photo was funny watching Rica try to look underwater with her mask.

The girls did not last long in the water since it was cold. Here is Rica trying to get warm and me all covered up trying to stay out of the sun (photo by Keena).

After some swimming, it was play time. Here is Grigo and Lia playing in the sand.

We also had some down time. Here is Keena, Lia, and Grigo taking in the sun.

Rica showing off her great glasses.

And of course Lia had to get into the fun!

Here is Grigo taking a last dip before we headed back for lunch.

In the afternoon, we headed to the local pool area which was rather impressive. Lots of places to lay out and take in the sun or take a spin down the slides.

They had a great kids area with a shallow pool. Here is Rica going down the slide (photo by Keena).

Here is Grigo and Lia joining the fun (photo by Keena). This contraption was great as the bucket on the top would fill with water every few minutes and then dump it on people going down the slide.

The girls also loved the big slides. Here is Grigo walking with Lia; and Rica is in the water to the right (photo by Keena).

Here is Grigo coming down the slide. Lia has a big smile on her face while Rica sits there waiting for her Dad (photo by Keena). All good fun!

When we were not at the beach or playing at the pool, we were hanging out at the trailer. One of the requests while I was there was to paint Lia and Rica's nails. Here I am hard at work!

The two of them waiting for their toes to dry. So patient!

A pretty good job I do say so! Tiny Rica toes!

And tiny Lia toes!

Most evenings we usually made a great meal and ate outside on the deck. I have a weird expression on my face but the girls were having fun.

All in all, we had a great few days at the Eurocamp! It was really relaxing and we all had a great time playing in the ocean and hanging out at the camp pool.
