Walking home tonight I did not see one child out trick or treating. Not a single person dressed up. There was only one pumpkin carved on my street. And on top of that, the corner shop that had Halloween items in the window this morning had changed their window today to a Christmas theme. How depressing.
Halloween may be crazy in the US, but it definitely shows our spirit (crazy or not).
